We kicked off 2022 with quite a few Advanced Web Ranking updates to talk about!

Let’s get right into it – use the sidebar on the right to jump to the updates you’re most curious about.

Quarterly Search Trends
A new search volume metric called ‘Quarterly Search Trends’ has been added to the Ranking-Keywords and Comparison-Websites reports.

You can have an even more clear picture of the number of times a query gets searched on Google, how this number fluctuates from month to month and whether it has been influenced by seasonality especially in the months with a major holiday such as Halloween or Christmas.

This newly added column refers to the evolution of searches in the last three months compared to the previous three months.

Global Search Volume
Besides the existing number of searches metric available at a country level, a new column called ‘Global Search Volume‘ was added in the Ranking-Keywords and Comparison-Search Engines views to show you the number of searches made worldwide.

More precisely, the Global Search Volume is defined as the average monthly number of searches that a keyword receives across all the locations and in all languages supported by Google’s Keyword Planner tool.

UI / UX Features

SERP Features Properties
You can now see details about the listings such as Indented URLs, Reviews, etc. directly in the SERP view thanks to the newly added ‘SERP Features Properties’ markup.

Notes
The Notes feature has been updated, and you can now add annotations for keywords, keyword groups, and even projects directly from the Settings-Keywords, Settings-Groups, and Notes views using the ‘Add Note’ option.

That’s all for January! 🙂
