Spring’s fresh breeze brings new updates to Advanced Web Ranking. We have some Market Share improvements and an addition to the Google Search Console data filtering options.

Let’s get right into it – use the sidebar on the right to jump to a particular update.

Market Share Updates

Hide Irrelevant Websites and Focus Only on Your Direct Competitors
The ‘Hide domains’ option was replaced by ‘Ignore domains’, which will entirely exclude the selected domain(s) from the Top 20 competitors, starting with the following update.

Once ignoring URLs from Top 20, the next domains in line will be automatically added, so that the competitors’ number always remains the same (equal to 20).

This way, you’ll be able to ignore domains such as Wikipedia, Youtube, Facebook, etc. which, most of the time, are not direct, relevant competitors for your website.

Advanced Web Ranking, market share ignore

Visibility Percent in Market Share
Introducing Visibility Percent as a new classification metric for the market share domains is helpful in determining which competitors are indeed achieving better ranking positions, not just a better share of the market for highly searched keywords.

Updated Market Share Chart
The new chart unlocks a more relevant competitor analysis, combining 2 key metrics simultaneously. For instance, you can easily discover which competitor has a higher potential of receiving more visits, for your targeted keywords.

Google Search Console Data Filtered by Country

You can now split your GSC data from the ‘Google Data-Search Console’ menu by the tracked search engines’ countries*. This way, you’ll get a clearer view of how your website’s metrics such as clicks, impressions, CTR, etc. are evolving in a specific market.

The countries you can select from are the ones monitored in your project and can be found under the Project settings-Search Engines menu.

*This newly added option is available only for Agency and higher subscriptions, as well as for all the yearly plans.

That’s all for March! 🙂
